There’s a Blue Streak at the 2018 McLaughlin Garden & Homestead annual benefit auction and party!

The theme for our 2018 auction is “A Blue Streak!” Why? The theme celebrates two features of this year’s gathering: Bluegrass music from Portland-based Cumberland Crossings and food from our the new blue food shack on the Curtis House property—Le Mu Eats. A blue streak will run through this year’s auction which will be livelier than every with upbeat music, fabulous food, and our famous live and silent auctions.

We are delighted to debut Laotian-French-Southern comfort food prepared by Sayvepen Sengsavang, a creative new chef who has prepared an exciting menu of fresh, seasonal, Asian-fusion items for the auction. He will even demonstrate a dish for the audience and he has prepared a signature cocktail for the evening called “Blue Moon.” The addition of new cuisine at the McLaughlin Garden & Homestead will make this evening special—and Le Mu Eats will be with us seasonally in the future, bringing new dining options here for our visitors.

We’re also featuring a new Bluegrass band called Cumberland Crossings. The Portland-based band includes a bass, dobro, fiddle, and guitar. They will fill the barn with music all evening long!

All ticket and auction sales will support the ongoing operations at the McLaughlin Garden & Homestead. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling 207-743-8820 (between 10 AM and 4 PM) or emailing to reserve your tickets and paddle.
